Had total knee replacement 5/15/06.  Worked hard and acheived 122 degrees of flexability (supine) by Aug 1st.  It was great for about 12 months.  Was able to squat with weight below parallel without any problem.  But during the last 3 months my flexability has REDUCED TO 88-90 DEGREES before extreme pain takes over.  Is this due to the onset of late scar tissue restricting movement?  If so can it be remedied?  Will it continue to reoccur??  Thanks in advance!1

A decrease in the range of motion (ROM) requires attention.   It is not possible to tell you if this is due to scar.   Often, when patients do experience a decrease in ROM, this can be improved with physical therapy.  Consult with your physical therapist and orthopedic surgeon.
