Lemon juice burn on nose

Hello doctor, I have this pimple on my nose which turned into a scar. I read online that if you applied lemon juice on a scar it would help lighten, and diminish the scar is this true? When i did this i kinda soaked a cotton ball in lemon juice, and put it on my scar which is in the middle of my nose. I then left it on for about 10 mins, and i felt a stinging, burning sensation. I then went to the mirror and noticed it had burned my skin. Right away i washed my face with cold water, and dial antibacterial soap, and put neosporin till the next day i saw a dermatologist, but he didnt speak english so it was hard to understand him. His assistant told me i have a second or third degree burn, he gave me some ointment called retapamulin altabax . Is this good medicine? How long do you think it will take to heal? Will this burn not leave me a scar using this medicine?

What you have is a simple chemical burn from the acid of the lemon juice.   The medication you were given is a topical antibiotic that acts against the organisms common on the skin (Staph).   It may take several weeks for the wound to close.   Its hard to tell you about scars but second degree burns typically heal without scars, but may have differences with pigmentation.
