Long-term effects of burns

by Badgergirl, Jan 29, 2008 04:39PM
I am wondering what the long-term effects are of second degree burns. Do the scars that develop from these burns cause problems? Do they require special treatment forever--topical treatments, for example. Do scars from burns make me more susceptible to skin cancer--things like that.

I have heard mixed responses as far as later-in-life pain from scarring. What's the general consensus?

Thanks!
