2yr old and 15yr old with the Flu...Swine

Please pray for my boys.My oldest tested positive today for the Flu and now my 2 year old is really sick.I have been up all night watching him.We are going to go to the Dr in the morning,If we dont end up at the E.R. before.My 15 year is doing well with it,But we dont know if we just caught his early.I tried taking the baby to his Dr today,But they were closing in 30 minutes and refused to see him.I called his Dr about an hour ago and they said to go onto the E.R.But he fell asleep a few minutes ago.So i am going to continue watching him and pray that he will be fine until morning.If not then to the E.R. we will go.Please keep us in your prayers.God Bless You All...Chan

My grandkids have it. I understand the Tamiflu works best if given early on, so you might want to get to the ER or give doc a call and get the script. Be warned tho, it is terribly expensive. My prayers are with you.

Hopefully your insurance will cover the Tamiflu because like Teko says, it's ridiculously expensive. I was fortunate in that my insurance did cover it. I just had to pay a copay.

I'm sorry to hear about your kids. It does seem to be affecting the little ones the most. If he gets a high fever that won't go down, take him right in. That happened to my 5 year old and what started out as the Swine flu quickly moved to pneumonia and he had to be hospitalized for a few days.

Take good care of yourself too. Take your vitamins, get good sleep and wash your hands a lot, especially since you are so close to it.

I'll lift you & yours up in prayer.  My 19 yr old daughter had it & came through it just fine but I've heard horror stories of some not surving it.

I do believe in the power of Prayer as Our Heavenly Father has answered my prayers time & again all of my life.

I took the baby in today and when they took us back they could tell just by looking at him that he was really sick.They did labs and said that it is the flu and gave him a script for Tamiflu.He looks so weak and is having trouble breathing.They said that his chest sounds fine,But what concerns me is there has been several cases here with the small ones lungs collapsing due to a bacterial pneumonia developing on the outside of the lung.Therefore that cant hear it.Just please eveyone keep us in your prayers and Thankyou so much for all of you that are praying for us already.May God Bless all of you.

Did they do a chest x-ray? I'd insist on one. My 5 year old started off with the swine flu and had the high temperatures so we took him back and within 2 days it had turned into pneumonia. Don't let them put you off. I'd insist on the chest x-ray and have his oxygen levels monitored.

So many children are coming down with this flu. I truly believe it's an epidemic and attackin our most defenseless, the children. May Almighty God watch over and protect all the children from the devistating effects from this potentially life threatening desease, I ask for mercy and healing in the name of our most beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen.

I just wanted to let everyone know that my oldest son Brae is doing good,But the baby has his ups and downs.They havnt been as sick as some of the other cases,But my baby is having alot of belly problems.He will be fine for a few minutes and then he goes and sits or lays down for awhile.Everything he is takes in goes right through him.His bowel movements are just liquid.I think that i am going to take him somewhere else where i can get his chest x-rayed.His Dr.s only want to do lab work ,But i think they need to check his lungs better.I'm afraid that now that he may get dehydrated due to all of the loss of fluid.Half of his eyelids are turning a real deep pink and his color is real pale.So we are going to get a recheck to make sure that he is not having anything else going on.My oldest son Brae's left lung collasped when he was 2 and it has permanent damage due to an object getting lodged in it.I know when there is something not right there,Cause Brae's Dr.s at that time kept telling me he had the croup .When all along it was a lung collasped.He was air lifted and the surgeon said that his lung had went down gradually over a 3 month period.If his Drs. at the time would have listened to me then his lung might not have been as damaged today as what it is.Please keep praying for us and Thankyou so much for all your prayers already.I will keep you posted.God Bless all of you.
