My daughter........

Today at 4:00 p.m. my daughter will be married.  This is very emotional time for me.  As you all know i am a recovering addict and i came clean to her back in April.  She has been very angry and hurt ever since.  I understand how she feels but i no longer fall into the trap of feeling guilty.  Hopefully my actions will speak louder than words at some point and our relationship will heal.  Here is the hardest one for me.....It was just yesterday that i brought this precious bundle home from the hospital, took her to her first day of school and watched her receive her diploma from both high school and college.  Where has my baby gone?  The time went so fast.  Tomorrow she joins herself with a husband and they will embark on their new life. I am so proud of her and what she has accomplished.  She continued in her education while raising my grandson.  She will be the most beautiful bride in the world and i know the tears will fall as i watch this beauty walk down the aisle.  May the Lord bless them and keep them safe.............sara

Oh jimi it was so wonderful.........Hopefully this will be a start of healing in our relationship.  She told me she loved me and that she missed her mom......i am still all teary eyed today!!!   Whoever made waterproof mascara deserves a medal!!!

The day was just perfect.......My daughter was just glowing and her beauty just had me stand in awe........My new son in law was so handsome and my grandson was even more handsome in his tux.....It was a day of healing and joy.  Today my feet are killing me!!!          sara

I am sure you will be creating a wedding album to keep all the pics and momentos in. What about printing out what you just posted and putting it in there somewhere or even in a personal card to her. There is no bond stonger than between a mother and her daughter and therefore no rift as hurtful also.  God promised that if you raise them up in the way that they should go, they may wander off but will come back. Your relationship with your da will be healed and it will be a better one for it, you will see. She simply cannot deny your love for her and nor can se live with judgement of her mother for long. I wish you a beautiful day and congratulations on acquiring a son. I hope you come back and share with us? I will be praying for you and your daughter, it will be ok, you will see!

Awww, What a wonderful and emotional time for you.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  The Lord will continue to guide you in the right direction.  You needed to heal yourself before others could heal.  Now, that you have being making things right is the time where she will take notice and eventually realize that you are a wonderful mom and that you Love and care for her very much.  As i am sure you know, it takes some people longer to forgive others and let go of the hurt and anger.  But, as you said you cannot feel guilty any longer.  You relationship with your daughter will be restored.  I will pray for this to happen.  God Bless You Sara.
