Anyone taking Clomid for Anovulatory Cycles?

Hello Ladies...

I was prescribed clomid for anovulatory cycles. My cycles use to be 24 to 26 days apart. Now with clomid it changed to 28 days. This is my 2nd round of clomid and I am in the 2ww (4 dpo). Does anyone have a similar story to mine??

I appreciate all feedback in advance! Just not sure if clomid will be what does it for me.

I am in the same boat but getting ready to try Clomid. Did you have any side effects with Clomid?
I was prescribed Clomid because my Progesterone came back low at 7.4 on day 21.

Hi there!

I am only on my 2nd cycle with clomid but I take it at the same time every night just before I got to sleep to try and avoid and side effects. The first month, I was really irritable and had major migraines. This cycle, I haven't had any side effects. I am on 50mg. Taking them days 3 to 7 of my cycle. My doc didn't test my progesterone before the clomid, so I have no clue if I was ovulating. He did however, test my progesterone on cd 21of my first round on clomid and it was 28.24, so clomid seems to work!!

I will be starting my second round of Clomid in just a couple days, I also have anovulatory issues.  My first round of Clomid was 50mgs, CD 5-9.  For the first round I only used OPKs & never received a positive test.  I know for sure I did not ovulate b/c I had to be given a progesterone injection to bring on AF.

Today is CD3 for me & this cycle my dose is 100mg - FINGERS ARE CROSSED!!
I did not have any type of side effects with my first round, and I took them in the morning.  I am curious if 100mg will cause any effects, even though 50mg did not....

I am sorry to hear about your first round of clomid :-/. I really hope and pray that this next round works for you!! I believe the side effects depend on the person. I would imagine the higher the dose the more side effects but I am not sure since I am only on 50 mg. I wish I could help you more with that!

I should be finishing my 2nd cycle of clomid soon, getting ready to start my 3rd round by early next week. I just have a feeling that this month wasn't my month. My doc checked my progesterone the first month on clomid and said it looked like I was ovulating and therefore said he would not need to do so this cycle. So I assume its working to help me ovulate. I am just wondering if it will actually work for me. Sigh. I am only a couple of days away from starting my next cycle. So I will be on round 3. I am scared to be on it for too long because I know it can thin the uterus lining.

I really hope and pray that May is our month too!!! SSBD!!! xoxo
