Starting clomid

Hi all! I am new to this site. hubby and I have been ttc for over 6 months now. Recently, someone recommended clomid, I am going to start clomid 50 mg with next period. And just have a couple of questions:

Do I start on day 3 of my actual period?
How well does robitussin help with CM?
Does anyone have stories of fast results with clomid?

Hi and welcome to site!! I'm not sure how many clomid treatments it takes before pregnancy, unfortunately. But just wanted to say I have just had my second round of clomid and are on day 17 now, so in the 2 week wait : ) I have been taking it days 2-6 as my doctor recommended. I have responded brilliantly both time first time one 17mm follicle and left ovary and one 20 mm on the right, but no joy that month. Then on tuesday I went for my day 13 ultrasound scan and i had 2 x 20mm follicles one on each. The doctor was so pleased with that but did warn me the chance of multiples are quite high as both follicles will ovualate because of their size, in fact one of them was ready to release/collapse during the scan i was told to go home and do the deed as i was at my most fertile time. So good look with your treatment, I have been a nightmare to live with with mood swings, few other mild symptoms but partner has been great and he knows were doing this to get what we both want so it will all be worth it in the end i'm sure xx

I am new to this site but am happy to find a place that I can get suppoprt and find answers.  My husband and I have been ttc for 3 years with no luck.  I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and put on a regimine to get my cycle back on track.  When I have my cycle in December, on Day 3 I will start my first round of clomid 50mg.  My husband has been tested and he is fine so I know the problem lies with me.  I have read about the side effects of clomid and I am really not looking forward to that but if it results in pregnancy then it will be worth it.  I was wondering typically how many clomid treatments does it take before pregancy?

It depends on what the doctor gave. I was prescribed CD 5-9 but I took it days 4-8. Women said they have higher success of having more eggs but less mature CD3-7 and 5-9 showed less eggs but they were more mature. So whatever feels best for you. Depending on how long your cycles are normally and when you take clomid depends on when to bd I suggest using opk, chart bbt and check cm. I wish I had success story but I am hoping I O this round and hope for the best!

Hey all! I started clomid 10/5 as it was day 3 of my cycle. So as I understand were supposed to concentrate on the baby dance cd 12?

I am new to this website too. Been TTC for almost a year now and my doctor put me on Clomid after running a few tests. She asked me to take it from day 2 to 6. I really hope it works!!! Baby dust to all of you :)

@ Babydance - I willl def keep in touch. I dont have a clomid buddy yet either. I am still waiting on AF to be able to start the first round of the 50. Keep me posted on how youre doing as well.

@ Katyb- I am starting on day 3 of this cycle, that is, whenever AF decides to rear her pretty head :) . I was kind of hoping that somehow I would magically just already be pregnant as my hubby and my moms b-days are this week and I couldnt think of a better gift. But, not pregnancy symptoms just not starting. As far as the different days, the way I understand it is it depends on your cycle length, what the doctor sees what would fit best. Baby dust to you. Hi guys, I'm also new to this site too. I am due to start Clomid on my next cycle (scared) but they have told me to take this on day 2-6?? Don't understand why ours are different? Any ideas? Good luck to you all, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you x

Hi I am too. New to this site. Your taking clomid. 50mg you start on days 5-9. Even if your cycle last 3 or 4 days do not start it till day 5. Day 1 is ur period starting. Then days 21-23 that's when you get your progestrone levels tested letting the dr. Know if clomid made you ovulate. I am on my 2nd round of clomid starting this Friday (day5) and I hope it works this time. keep in touch with me pretty please I don't have a clomid buddy =(
