I do not have enough information to answer your question, there is a form that you should fill out before posting that will help the physicians answer your questions.  In general, Chemotherapy can work if the tumor is reponsive and survival depends on tumor stage, which I do not have or the cell type of the tumor.

My husband could not get any help for his pain a month after he had bladder and prostrate out. He had bone scan blood tests, catscan, exrays over the course of 4 months was at emerg at hospiatl 5 times and they all said there was no sign of cancer. The Doc a urologist also said all the tests showed nothing and my husband would have to go to his family doc, as he did his part. He wouldn't even put him in hospiatl to check him out and he was in terrable pain. Now 2 weeks ago had to take him to another city and they gave him a catscan and right away they admitted him and found the cancer in his lymp nodes. he has multiple pelvic masses the largtest is in the left pelvic sidewall measuring up to 5.7 x 3.8cm he has 4 more masses and a tumor in his track from the kidney that quit working they have to put a stint in it. But they couln't so they put a tube to drain the kidney so they could give him chemo. He just had his first chemo 2 days ago. So guess time will tell. Does anyone have similiar problems like this, I was wondering what his survival rate is. Or, I know it's too early to tell. But wondering if you have any idea if chemo is going to help him I hope so. As he is on Morphine for the pain all the time. I hope so. The poor man is 72 yrs old and never was sick like this in his life. Pray with me that he makes it. We just got married 2 yrs ago.He has to make it and he also loves life.

I think that this is serious and you should have the mass removed, I assume that you did.
