CANCER IN PETS COMMUNITY
is this cancer?

is this cancer?

When I picked up my mini dachshund from a kennel where he had stayed for 5 days I noticed his eyelid had a little drop of dried up blood on it, the lid also appeared a little swollen.  The next day on the side of his face I noticed a huge soft lump.  We went to the vets the next day, who discovered two other golf ball sized swollen nodes in the chest and groin area.(Swollen nodes on one side of his body only, the side with the eye issue)  He took blood work and it was normal.  He sent me home with a two week supply of antibiotics for the eye and one to take orally.  With a warning that if this didn't clear up it could be a much more serious issue.  He has been on the medication for 48 hours now and swelling doesn't seem much changed.  He is eating and drinking but is a little lethargic and feels warm.  He is just two years old.
Could this all be related to an eye infection?

Have the enlarged lymph nodes biopsied or start with a cytology to rule out lymphoma. I am glad to discuss.
