My sister had a mascectomy about six months ago, then a small cancer removed from her lung. Now they
have found cancer in two lymph nodesLymph node biopsy Swollen glands Swollen lymph nodes in the groin Swollen lymph nodes under arm in that same lung. The problem is they can't determine for sure if it
is actually lung cancer or metastaticMetastatic brain tumor Metastatic cancer to the lung breast cancer. They are planning on giving her two rounds of chemo,
with a mix of lung and breast cancer in it. After that, they will check to see if it is helping before continuing
that treatment. My question, can it be successfully treated?
I realize much depends on if the chemo works on her cancer or not. Also, does the chemo only give you a
few months, or does it buy you a few years? Again, I realize each case is individual, but we are just looking
for some hope here. I would love to hear from anyone who has had successful results in stage 4. Thank you
so very much.
