7cm mass in lung

Hi there...
Was wondering if anyone could give me some help/advice.
My aunt was feeling very unwell...pressure in her head... difficulty breathing...and pain in her neck and chest.
Her blood pressure was scary high and the dr. sent her for a lung xray.
It came back that she has a 7cm mass in her lung...
Dr. said it is most likely lung cancer....
I was just wondering if...it could possibly be anything else.
She is however seeing a respitory specialist tommorow and will most likely be having a biopsy performed asap.
Everything is moving so fast...She got the results yesterday and seeing the specialist tommow...
I am very scared of the outcome...
Does anybody have any info on mass...or the size of or anything else????
Thank You
Jack

I am really sorry to hear about your aunt, hope she is doing good. I am going in for Bronchoscopy too and I was just wondering if anyone knows the cost of the procedure, I have 3 mass in my lung and I know should be concerned for my health but I am little worried about the cost of the whole procedure though I hv insurance but i dont rely upon them.
If you have any idea do let me know.
Thanks
Sam

Hi....ya..she went today and they are going to perform a bronchiloscopy...or something to that effect...I know my spelling is off....they will take fluid and a sample if possible...She is booked tommorow am....
If they are unable to get what they need...they will do a biopsy...
The dr. said it is unlikely that it is anything else...He mentioned its a pretty fair size....
I am so scared for her....
Thank you for your response.

Im sorry it does sound like its bad news.  Lung cancer progress so fast that is why the doctors are moving quick.
When you go to the doctors write down all the quiestions you can.
