Hi,
You should calm down and relax. If your surgeon has done a clinical examination and not found anything significant, it is a good thing.
You should get the scan and post the reports if possible.
Try to control your anxiety too. Follow up with your doctor in case you are still symptomatic.
Let us know if you have any other doubts.
Post us about how you are doing.
Regards.
Hi - The surgeon studdied the end of my penis and thinks there is nothing to worry about possibly balanitis or just a change in the colour of the skin but certainly not cancerous. I did all the urine tests possible and the one's that have come back so far show negative for anything unusual. I must admit I probably didn't ask enough questions because I get very nervous when I go for check ups. He did however put his fingers where the sun doesn't shine as it were and felt about and didn't comment anything was wrong. I am having a scan (kidneys) early next week as it's Easter and I am due to go back to see him then. I still don't know what is causing this (anxiety link to the frequency or dripping possibly?) but anymore feedback would be good.
Cheers and all the best to all
Hi,
Schedule an appointment with your surgeon and let us know what the diagnosis is and what have you been advised.
The earlier you see a doctor, the better.
Keep us posted.
Regards.
Will do and thanks again for your input. At least I feel a little more at ease now. I have since read through the many symptoms of prostate cancer such as difficulty in passing urine, Pain on passing urine and although I seem to be passing urine far too much during the day it doesn't wake me during the night (or if it has only a few times over the last months) however I am still very concerned as it is a very uncomftable time for me and I obviously need to find out what is going on.
Hi,
Your symptoms seem more likely to be due to prostate enlargement. Consult a surgeon and get the relevant investigations done.
Do not worry about it being cancer at this stage.
Let us know what your reports say.
Regards.
Many thanks - I am having a urologist check it out Tuesday.
As per your question I don't have a burning sensation and my urine flow is normal I just have the symptoms above. I seem to want to urine more when I sit for a while.
Can it be that urine causes the redness around the urethea when I urinate or when I drip sometimes?
Is leaking urine a symptom of cancer?
Thanks again for you input.
Hi,
You should get a urine - routine microscopic examination and culture & sensitivity done to rule out any urinary tract infection. Do you also have a burning sensation at the time of micturition?
You will have to get a surgeon consultation to rule out prostate enlargement - a clinical evaluation, ultrasound and blood test to measure prostate specific antigen would be required.
You should drink plenty of water and maintain proper personal hygiene.
Let us know what the reports say and what your doctor advises and also about how you are doing.
Regards.
