Are these lymphoma symptoms? HELP!

Yea, I know... i should research the internet. I did, but some of my symptoms are different.

First off, I am 24m non smoker, non drinker (im a boy scout). I started working out quite vigorously 3 weeks ago but 1.5 weeks ago i was resting and woke up with a dull sharp pain under my right nipple. The next day, i woke up with chest tightness. I got an ekg since i thought i had heart problems... normal along with my bp.

Then, it went away for 2 days and came back and was worse than initially. And my upper back felt like i had muscle pains Got another EKG and it was fine. Now there has been no heart pains for over a week. However, 4 days ago, all of a sudden in my car, my chin and jaw (lymph nodes?) started to swell up (not visually... but it felt like alot of pressure). The day after, under my chin would feel like alot of pressure (my lymph nodes). The day after that, it seemed the pressure moved from my chin to my jaw and to the spot in front of my ears (kinda near your cheek) on the sides of my head. It felt like my head was gonna explode. The next day, the pressure was gone (and its been gone).

However, I started to feel around and i feel a small lump under my chin that seems a little bigger than on the right side. Its painless! Yikes! Also, I've been feeling a little fatigued lately after i started to stress that its lymphoma. Now i feel little pains once in a while around my inner thighs near my knees or wrists (they dont last long.. couple of minutes to a few seconds). Also, once in a while i would feel a little stinging pain to the left of my sternum (again.. split seconds). I've lost some of my appetite but my weight is hovering around the same number.

I'm scared stiff about this... right now i only have short term insurance till the end of the month and am in the process of getting full.... and you know about those pre-existing BS policies (all my EKGs were under the table since the short term insurance wasnt gonna cover it anyways.. payed outta my pocket). So i have 2 questions... does this sound like lymphoma symptoms and should i wait it out for 2.5 weeks to hopefully get full long term coverage? I know the only way i'll use my short term insurance is if I get fever or start drenching at night (but by then... it may be too late to treat it *IF* i have it).

The reason i got short term was because some yahoo convinced me to get it to cover me during the underwriting process of longer term insurance... doh! I initially wanted insurance to protect me in case i rip a muscle or something while working out. But after all these problems, i wish i never started working out. No, i take that back... i would wish for a million dollars (why waste a wish?).

I can relate to a lot of what you are feeling. I would wait it out and see how you feel, your health can improve.  Whatever it may be, hang in there!

I have lymphoma, and never had the swollen lymph nodes.  I, too, think you shouldn't stress over this - it might be mono or any number of other things.  And a short-term wait, even if it is lymphoma, probably will make no difference - especially if it's the non-aggressive type.

Here's the thing... I haven't worked out in 2 weeks. Yet, still have some aches. I dont feel like eating very much (i used to be able to polish off a whole pizza... now i only can eat 2 pieces) and i am thirsty more than i am hungry.

This thing on my neck feels a little more noticable than when i initially found it.... however, the node in question is my submandibular node. Which usually isn't a sign of lympoma (like cervical nodes along our side neck muscles).

Its still scary. Lots of people get lymphoma in their 20s. And my symptoms were very wierd (i wanted to see if anyone had similar symptoms)

No it doesn't sound like lymphoma. I don't even know why you're worried about it. It sounds like you had a virus and maybe one of your nodes is still slightly enlarged (or you might be just feeling a normal sized one).  The fleeting pains are nothing and most likely due to your working out.

You sound like you are beginning a health anxiety full on freak out. Try to calm down for a few days and stop having tests.

Anxiety is very very common while lymphoma and heat conditions at 24 are not. Please read some internet sites about anxiety too.

Good luck
