I am worried about my son. He is 4 yrs old and has a growth on the back of his knee. The Dr briefly looked at it and xrayed it and said it was a baker's cyst. It has grown a lot in the past few weeks. Could it be some type of malignant tumor? I googled and scared myself. I read about synovial sarcoma, etc. saying it mimicks bakers cyst. What worries me is the growth of this 'cyst'. It is right behind his knee. How can they be sure it is just a cyst by just doing an xray? They said he doesnt even need to come back except once a year.
