Hi,
How are you? The Nagalase Test is indicated for monitoring the effect of therapy of cancer and certain viral infections, including HIV & Autism. It measures the activity of  nagalase in the blood or the extracellular matrix-degrading enzyme that is  secreted by cancerous cells in the process of tumour invasion. The Nagalase blood test is available from a variety of clinics and a blood sample can be sent via a courier and the results emailed back to you.

It is recommended that you speak to your attending physician. There are many factors to consider such as the condition present or specific laboratory contacted. A Nagalase test every 6-8 weeks is usually recommended to give a true indication of whether your body is  fighting back. Currently it takes around 5 weeks to 13 weeks to get the results backand the cost of a Nagalase blood test depends also on the laboratory plus any additional costs from your Doctor or Clinic to extract and prepare the blood sample. Hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
