How are you? The Nagalase Test is indicated for monitoring the effect of therapy of cancer and certain viral infections, including HIV & Autism. It measures the activity of nagalase in the blood or the extracellular matrix-degrading enzyme that is secreted by cancerous cells in the process of tumour invasion. The Nagalase blood test is available from a variety of clinics and a blood sample can be sent via a courier and the results emailed back to you.
It is recommended that you speak to your attending physician. There are many factors to consider such as the condition present or specific laboratory contacted. A Nagalase test every 6-8 weeks is usually recommended to give a true indication of whether your body is fighting back.
