i was trying to get information for my father he has just been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and i would like to see if some one would be kind to sponsor for his chemotherapy I'm not sure how these things work this is to my family and difficult to deal with
My fiance has ALL (Acute lymphoblastic leukemia) and is AB+ blood type. Perhaps you are a bone marrow match for my fiancee. Would you be willing to find out? I also have a simple logical question for everyone. Why does the oncologist want to start chemo before securing a bone marrow match? If we cant find a match, then why have bothered with chemo?
Bone marrow compatibility is based on HLA (human leukocyte antigen) type. Your brothers hematologist will be able to tell you, after a simple blood test, if your bone marrow is compatible with his.
Hope every thing works out well for you folks.
Im so sorry about your brother. I would ask the doctor if your blood type matches his. Im not sure. I hope everything goes well with your brother. Keep me posted.
