Bowel Cancer

I live overseas and recieved a call from my father saying he has bowel cancer this has got me really stressed out I think he is playing it down so I dont worry, he says he has to have a small op and he will make a full recovery.  Is this true?  I need any info you can give me so I can have a better understanding of his condition.

I am sorry to hear about the diagnosis in case of your father and especially since you say you are away.

You would have to give us the details about his symptoms, his exact clinical diagnosis and the investigations that were done.

It is difficult to say anything with certainty with the information you have.

You could ask him to post a copy of his reports to you, or you could talk to his doctor.
