Brain tumor symptoms? Advice needed.

by GTO67, Mar 28, 2007 12:00AM
I recently started going through bouts of brain tumor symptoms, tingling in hands and head, pressure on random places of my head, shooting pains, chills through my body, nausea, twitching and jerking of groups of muscles ( this one has bothered me the most, it has been happening for about a week and it is not constant, only one twitch at a time). All of these occour at random on and off. I also suffer from depersonalization/derealization. I have no headaches, alot of the tingling and pains occour on the right side of my head, but also happen on the left. I have also noticed within the last 6 months I have been pretty confused and slow (My mind is racing with worry) I cannot stop worrying about health.

I went to my doctor about it and he said it was anxiety, and gave me Buspar. I used to have panic disorder, wich turned into anxiety disorder. He recently put me through alot of blood tests all wich were normal, a urine test wich was normal, Blood pressure is normal, im 17,

Are these signs of a brain tumor? I dont want to go for any tests if their not.

Also, when I stand up sometimes (not always) I get this pounding in my head and a pounding heart beat.

Symptoms like what you've described are more consistent with anxiety than with a tumor.

When I'm not satisfied with one physician's explanation I seek another doctor's care to get a second opinion, to reassure myself.

To play it safe, I would find a physician who is willing to refer you for an MRI or CT scan.
