Can breast cancer be cured?

YES! There is every hope that cancer can be beat. This year my grandma is 5 years cancer free. She found out she had stage 2 breast cancer in 2005, had a mastectomy went through chemo and hasn't had a single regrowth since.

There are many options for breast cancer treatment and several factors such as type of breast cancer, its stage, whether the cancer cells are sensitive to hormones, patient's overall health  and medical condition that needs to be considered. After diagnosis, most women undergo surgery for breast cancer and receive additional treatment, such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy or radiation.
