Hi,
Papillomas are usually benign lesions although multiple papillomas are associated with an increased risk of breast cancer. Breast papillomas can be removed by a surgical excision. This is a relatively minor surgical procedure and the recovery time is fairly short. The patient can go home on the same or next day. The resected specimen needs to be studied under the microscope to rule out the presence of cancer or precancerous lesions.
All the best!
