Hi,

I was diagnosed with dysplasia in 2006. I had a colonoscopy done. I went back for a follow-up in 6 months. However, I did not go back for 2 years. What are the chances of abnormal cells progressing.

Hi,

Since your colonoscopy was clear with no abnormal cells, chances of cancer are ruled out.
A routine pap smear every 6 months will help pick up any abnormality in the cervical cells early.
You need to follow up on that. Do let me know if you need more information.

There is no next step, you should always go every 6 month for a pap... just to keep an eye on you so that they should be sure that nothing is wrong. its just a routine pap smear to check abnormal cells.
