CT scan shows 8mm nodule on neck

Hi,

Recently I noticed a lump on my neck four to five days ago.  I am really not sure if it has been there for any longer than that or not. I was placed on antibiotics in case it was infection. However, I had a ct scan with these results:

There is an 8mm enhancing nodule in the left side of the neck, corresponding to the area of the palpated nodule. It appears to lie within or adjacent to the inferior aspect of th eleft parotid gland. There are scattered small nodes in both sides of the neck. Visualized bones are intact. Prevertebral soft tissues are within normal limits. There is a normal appearing epiglottis. No other significant findins noted.

I have also noted towards my back molar about midway on my cheek a white pimple looking bump.  I have some mild pain in my neck and cheek. And it times it feels like my mouth has "puckered" on the left side wher the nodule is.

What is the likelihood that this is cancer? Is it a bad thing that it sees scattered small nodes in both sides of the neck? Could those be indicative of metastisis?

The only way to know if it is cancer is to get a BIOPSY of the Lymph node, and hopefully you'll have someone knowledge enough to recognize the cells............
......Why did they do a CT scan of that anyway?  Who recommended a CT scan?   CT scans are only useful to see if the cancer has spread to other areas.

If this swollen lymph node just appeared recently, then it may just be a result of your immune system fighting an infection there in that node...........If I were you, I would get a biopsy if there is no improvement after the antibiotics.    But, before you get the biopsy, get it read, another office visit, etc., a lot of time can go by before confirmation of something like cancer.     So if NO IMPROVEMENT in the size of the node, go to Walmart's supplement area and Buy all the cayenne fruit capsules, some bottles of vitamin D and start taking them right away.     Capsaicin which makes peppers like cayenne HOT is a Natural Cancer killer, and the only thing I know that you'll be able to get to help you before chemo.     and keep taking as many cayenne capsules as you can stomach during chemo, etc..

2 CT scans and you are Upping your chances of getting cancer in the future so be careful with those..........I've read where researchers are claimming that 2 CT Scans is similar to surviving one of the nuclear blasts in Japan during WW2, and many of the survivors I believe died from cancer.      Note:   Japan is saying more than 600K people will develop cancer from the radiation released from that power plant that was damaged from the most recent zunami.
