Hi,
How are you? The adrenal glands are located on top of each of the body’s two kidneys and important to the body’s endocrine system. When an adrenal gland tumor overproduce hormones, it is called a functioning tumor while if it does not produce hormones, it  is referred to as a nonfunctioning tumor.  The symptoms and treatment of an adrenal gland tumor depend on a variety of factors such as: the type,  whether the tumor is functioning or nonfunctioning, what hormone is overproduced, and whether the tumor is a primary adrenal gland tumor or a metastases from cancer of another organ.
Primary adrenal gland tumors include adenoma, adrenocortical carcinoma, neuroblastoma and pheochromocytoma. This link may help: http://www.cancer.net/patient/Cancer+Types/Adrenal+Gland+Tumor
Take care and regards.
