Could it be lymphoma

My son is 15 years old he recently about 4 weeks ago developed enlarged lymphnodes under his chin just above the adams apple.  His CT Scan shows the one on the left to be more eccentric measuring 2 x 1.4 cm.  They are painful to the touch he is tired a lot and has had a chronic sore throat for about 6 weeks.  We seen the ENT yesterday and they done a needle biopsy which I will have results on tommorow.  The ENT said it could be a Hypothroglossal cysts but it usually did not produce the symptoms he had he also said it could be lymphoma  his wbc in his blood test is normal all his other levels like rbc hemoglobin monocytes are high  the doctors are puzzled and concerned and I am scared to death anyone have any thoughts on this they have also ruled out mono and mumps?
