Right, I'm not sure whether or not to be posting this in the cancer thread, but I'm new
Since about five years ago, when I think I may have had a ear infection, I've had an continual feeling that one side (from my perspective, the right side) is larger and feels differently from the left. In addition to this it seems to looks a little different, and the muscles around my eyes and mouth seem to be more stationary (although they do work perfectly, its just a little more difficult to move them)
Sometimes the left side of my nose gets blocked more than the other, and some days, I get random pains, which only last for perhaps 3 seconds on the right side of my head. I wouldn't call them headaches exactly, just quick pains which go quickly, but nevertheless they worry me. They seem to be in the area of my head near to my ear. When I get normal headaches infrequently for other reasons, it always tends to be worse on the right side.
Additionally it seems that the hearing in my left side is worse and has been like that for many years, not getting notiably worse. I can still hear perfectly with it, but it feels almost as if the ear is muffled and that sometimes is covering it. Occasionally I get the odd pain in my ear, or an a twitch on the right (or sometimes left) side of my face.
I've had a little tinnitus, but this is in my left ear and is only ever noticable at night it seems. I have been living a lifestyle which is a wee bit stressed, but I don't know by which point you would de-classify your life as being srtessed, I have tried to improve it.
A few years ago I went to the doctor who saw that my right ear was sore/inflamed a little. He gave me some drops which apparently helped it, but the feeling of fullness is still there as well as the random pains on the right side of my head.
I've booked in for an MRI scan this October, it's about time... I thought that I may have an acoustic neurome, but I have had no problems with balence... so I have no idea.
