FInger Pain after DCIS

Hi, in April my sister is diagnosed with DCIS with stage 0 and had a mastectomy due to 9cm diameter of maicrocalcifications. She has a pain just below the finger nail and if any thing be in touch with that area, she  is getting the sever pain. Her Surgeon suggested her to go to finger surgeon and now she is in a terrible condition that she got the bone cancer. What is this finger pain? She is getting it for almost one year and her doctor said it is not the infection. Is this the sign of the bone cancer?

Hi,

Finger pain occurs commonly after chemotherapy for breast cancer. The chemotherapeutic agents cause the nail to become brittle, loose and painful due to collection of blood under the finger nail. These disorders are not preventable but using ice on hands during chemotherapy can reduce the pain somewhat.
It will make sense to get it evaluated to rule out other possibilities as well.
