Help me understand please

I was diagnosed with TC in 93, I had the right testical removed and a right node disection and two cycles of chemo (BEP). Not a problem in 16 yrs, I went to a checkup yesterday and my AFP he gone from 8 to 10.1. Can somebody tell me if this is cause for alarm? The CT Scan was clean and the HCG was clan as well. The Dr has reccomended me I a consult with an Oncologist, is this jumping the gun? Somebody please reply. Oh I had the cancer when I was 23 not sure if it matters but oh wee. I scared and I could use some hopefully good info.

I believe that normal afp in adults is 20 or under and a raised afp can be due to numerous other factors such as viral, bacterial or fungal infections.
My husband had abnormal results following a chest infection which was treated with antibiotics(which apparently can also influence liver function tests).
