Hi,
Pale stools, nausea and right sided back pain may indicate gall bladder stones causing obstruction of the bile duct or an inection or lesion causing obstruction to the flow of bile from the all bladder to the intestine. An ultrasound examination of the abdomen may help. Please tell your doctor about the pale stools and nausea, so that he/she can evaluate your condition properly.
All the best
I wrote this in response to someone else on here in another panel, but I thought it might be something to post here.
_______
The pain in my back is on my right side, and i do have nausea but no joint pain (except for my TMJ which is unrelated). The pain from my back is not radiating to my groin, but i have had really pale stool. I haven't told anyone about that because it's gross but i doubt it's related anyways. It's just really pale lately, dunno why. My back gets the most relief if i lay flat on my back, but it also feels better if i bend forward a bit. I had an MRI yesterday, but they haven't told me about the results yet so they probably didn't find anything. I still think that there is something amiss though, so i would like to know what it is. Especially because I leave for Mongolia on the 11th. The pain isn't always that bad, i mean i always feel it but sometimes it's just really not bad. Sometimes it gets a bit aggravated though and then it can get unbearable. the naporsyn isn't helping very much, and I know this isn't great for me but i've had to take three advil every night before bed in order to sleep. sometimes if the pain wakes me up i'll take another advil. i take advil because they can't seem to help me and my back and the naporsyn isn't enough.
My oldest brother told me that all this back pain is probably just cause I'm so unatheletic. I'm a twin and when I was born i came out breach with forceps, but i was bluish and wasn't breathing. Then I was fixed and after i had jaundice i grew up healthily.
Anyways, I have hypotonia, learning disorders (though that's probably irrelevant), asperger syndrome (also probably irrelevant), and I have been diagnosed with dyspraxia by some people and with mild cerebral palsy by other people. One of my brothers has cp and he can't walk or write or that basic stuff (he is smart though, just graduated from UCLA law) but I can absolutely do that stuff. I'm just really insanely clumsy and uncoordinated and suck at sports. Anyways, could my being so unatheletic be the cause of all my pain, and thus i just need to suck it up?
Hi,
It is really difficult to comment on the diagnosis at this point. You need to wait for the results of the MRI. You also need to get a blood work up to assess your blood cell counts. It may be a good idea to consult a Rheumatologist. Meanwhile consult your doctor regarding your pain medication since you are not getting adequate pain releif. You may need additional and/or stronger analgesics.
All the best!
I normally wouldn't be so concerned about my health like this or go to the trouble of complaining so much but right now i really am having an issue! I'm meant to be going to mongolia on a dig with my school in two and a half weeks and I just can't deal wtih the pain while i'm gone. I will be doing a lot and I won't be able to lay flat like i need to in order to get relief. I mean, i'm sure that i'm healthy and all, after all i'm only 17, i can't get *that* sick and nothign could be that wrong with me. it's just that whatever it is needs to be fixed ASAP because I REALLY want to have as much fun as possible in Mongolia! and sometimes it hurts so much i want to cry and i just get so ashamed.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!
I went to help get it fixed soon! and idk if the doctors will know what it is bceause they don't have much time and they all have lots of other people too! and i'm otherwise healthy as can be.
