Implanted Port Pain

Has anyone experienced mild pain around their implanted port or mild discomfort while having their port flushed?  I told the nurses my port hurts a little when I touch around it and when they flush it.  When they flush it, they just push all the flushing material in one giant plunge and it's uncomfortable.  They said I shouldn't feel it.  I'm curious if other people experience it, but just don't mention it.
