Is it all in my head?

Is it all in my head?

I'm female, 36, healthy with history of (cluster) migraines. Three weeks ago I found a pad sized hard lump in the right side back of my neck at the hairline, unmovable, painless, thickens on some days probably from feeling it a lot. About this same time I developed a very deep constant cough. Over the past week my headaches have been frequent and come on very quickly (horrid pain!) on the left and back side of my head (feels like my eye is being stabbed through my face and my ears feel pressure.) Over the past week I've also had three more lumps appear in my neck, smaller, but hard, painless, and don't move. I've started waking up with my shirt wet and sweaty but not soaked. I happen to have a regular physical scheduled the day after tomorrow, but I have a doctor who doesn't really seem to take anything very seriously and I feel like a hypochondriac if I ask him anything, so I don't really want to say, Hey, can you make sure I don't have lymphoma?" and be laughed at. Should I ask him to do an mri or something since I'll be there anyway? If it really IS serious will he pick up on it without my pointing it out? I don't know if the symptoms are all in my head since I've obviously been on the internet (a no-no) or does it sound like a legitimate concern? I just don't want to go in there sounding like a fruitcake :)
