Liver cancer stents and brusing

hi my dad has just had a stent(last week) put in to his liver to help the jaundice and been told he has cancer in the tubes leading to the liver. last night the viens from the wonud site of the stents to his shoulder went blue and swollen and this morning he is badly brusied from the wond site to the shoulder, he will not tell the doctor, what could this be.

It's worth telling the doctor and calling right away.  You can call for him if he won't, it's not something that happens routinely after stent placement.
