Lump near anus, worrying symptoms.

A few (6-8) months ago I noticed a lump about the size of an olive about an inch to the right of my anus. I was worried about this but a few weeks later I checked it and it was much smaller so I ignored it. I forgot about this for a few months but a month ago I got a very bad pain in this area again and when I checked it it was about the size of a grape and there was another pea sized lump just to the right of it (possibly attatched). this got me worried again and I started to search for what it might be online. While looking online I found alot of information about different types of cancer and about its syptoms, such as swollen lymph nodes. After this I began fearing cancer and noticing alot of minor pains cramps and lumps around my body, for instance I have been having some pains through my arms and legs but only every few days and they arent bad so im not sure if its just worrying. Anyway, last week after going tolet aand wiping the smaller lump started to bleed a small amount (Although i was picking up broken glass before this so...maybe it was that). Last night it was very painfull whenever I sat down and I noticed two very hard lumps behind my ears and a pea sizes softer limp on the back of my head. I know all of theses things may be unrelated or simply my imagination as I have become somewhat of a hypochondriac but I would just like to know if anyone knows if any of these symptoms mean anything specific or know what this may be, I will be going to my doctor in the next few weeks anyway. Oh and im 17.

Thanks, and sorry for this being such a mess, there is alot on my mind.

hmm, I have also been noticing some minor cramps in my stomach (although not for a few weeks now) and pain in my joints that comes and goes (most days none but today my elbows hurt when I stretch them), also my ankles are a bit tender and always feel like hairs are being yanked out. does anyone know if all this could be linked to anything? I dont do much exercise and I have been eating ALOT of junk food for a good while now, in the last two months I have put on 10-15 pounds. could this have anything to do with these problems? If the lymph node infection thing is correct would it make sense that it has been going on for over a month?

Thanks again for your help.

With any kind of lump that comes and goes, you should get it looked at regardless. It's actually not uncommon for a bleed to begin with obstructions on or directly around the anus. It's in a sensitive part of the body that has skin constantly stretching. If you've been ill you may be experiencing swollen lymph glands. Though you may not feel sick, lymph glands swell when your body fights any kind of infection or virus when it comes under attack by an outside body. Until you can see your doctor, use an antibiotic ointment like Kenacomb or Neosporin. Avoid contact with the troubled areas of sensitivity if possible. Use a warm, very clean compress on the area to assist the skin around it only after cleaning the area thoroughly.
Hope this helped.

Get to the doc as soon as possible!!  It could be nothing but my sister (now deceased) had the lump in her anus and it turned out to be Stage IV rectal cancer.  The tumor spread to other organs and she passed away last year. She was 53.  If she had gotten a colonoscopy done she might be alive today.  Don't let me scare you but get it checked out ASAP!!!! Good Luck!
