Lumps on left rib cage

Lumps on left rib cage

Hi,
I am 31 and have two little girls. I lost my mum at a young age, saw my sister-in-law lose her battle with cancer at 32, and now my sister has been diagonised with breast cancer!! I worry about cancer anyway but since my sister was diagnosied I have thought of nothing else, it rules my life, I can't live properly and find myself checkiing my body all the time........So the other day I was being my USUAL PARANOID self and checking my chest, neck, stomache and I found little lumps on my right rib and a couple of beady like ones under my left breast. Now it's on my mind all the and they seem to be aching now too (especially if I lift anything heavy)... but am I am too frightened to go to the doctors incase he tells me what I don't want to hear. My husband has felt them too and he suggests I go and see the doctor but the trouble is I think my doctor thinks I'm a wasting his time as I have had an on going problem (3 years nearly, since my youngest was born) and they still haven't found it out....first they said it might be IBS, then it was inflammed something....now it's bowl spasms!!
I called BUPA  a few days ago to pay for CT scan but they told me they only give them to people who are 40 or over!! I phoned back again and asked to book an appointment and then the lady said I would need a referal from my doctor....I was so upset.

Please help me.....I really can't enjoy life at the moment.

You have to be strong and keep believing that your health is the prime and important thing rather than anything. You have a lovely family.
So take an appointment and get yourself examined.
After this please learn breast self examination and do it by yourself every month.
After completion of each year or during any abnormality consult a clinician.
Do not bother about minor things and doctors are there to help out patients and do not think that you are troubling some one!
It would be a pleasure to treat patients for a clinician as it gives utmost joy and satisfaction.
Take care!
