Lymphedema Doctor?

What "type" of Doctor do you see for Lymphedema? Do you see a Family Doctor and then you are referred to a Specialist? Or can you go straight to the Lymph Doctor? I'm having a really hard time with this!

Hi,
How are you? Diagnosis of lymphedema is usually with physical exam and history, lymphoscintigraphy,  or MRI.  You can check with your attending physician and have the diagnostic tests done or initial examination done and be referred to a specialist. Hope this helps. Take care and do keep us posted.
