Three years ago I had colon resecton along with chemo and radiation. I had ca in lymph nodes but so far (3 yrs) have been OK except for the pxs that goes along with Ca of the colon-rectum. Can anyone share with me some of the problems they have had associated with this type of Ca. My oncologist tells me that part of my px is that when the resecton was done, the surgeon twisted the bowel (like a spiral instead of a straight connection) don't know why. As an RN, I try to put some sense to the causes of the pxs that I have but not even the MDs know. I have a problem with motility (parastalasis). Causes back pain when transverse colon becomes affected. I have been on oxycodone since my surgery. I stpped (gradually weaned myself off) fentanyl patches but can't seem to do without the oxycodone. Please share some of your problems. Thanks. ***@****
