Migraine or worse?

My girlfriend has had migraines for most of her life, it runs in her immediate family. Symptoms include sharp pain in the back of her head and/or neck, dizziness, blurry vision, loss of hearing or ringing in her ears and sometimes feels like she's going to pass out.  She had a CT scan and they said it was clean but she's scared.  Is it just really bad headaches or could they have missed something worse?

An MRI would really be the best study to have done if she's having these chronic headaches. Has she seen a neurologist? They are really the best specialists in dealing with chronic migraines (it could even be a specific type of headache such as cluster or tension). I've said it before and I'll say it again, if a trip to your MD doesn't leave you with peace of mind or you feel they are being dismissive, get a new MD.  Some are good, some aren't so good.  You have to find a good fit and someone who understands what your concerns are and how to put them at ease.  At the VERY least, she should be on some regimen that controls her symptoms better than they are being controlled now. I have all of those symptoms. I had the MRI, cat-scan, My ears checked, Neck cat scan, i went to see neurologist, nothing at all except Migraine and anxiety. I guess we have to deal with it. I was scared too at first, but now i am trying to life with it. The C-scan would show if she had something really bad. I think she needs to go back to see her doc. and ask for MRI just to make sure so that she could sleep better:) I know how that feels I sometimes still have doubts :(
