Mouth Cancer?

Hey.. I'm a 23 year old male and just yesterday I discovered a small slightly redder bump on the roof of my mouth. It is about even with my back molars slightly on the left side. It is not painful or bleeding but does seem to be firm and slightly red and a little tender. The reason I'm so worried about it is because I used to chew tobacco for about 2 years. Wondering if anybody has any ideas about what it is or advice on what I should do. Thanks.
