Need operation but am morbidly obese

I am 51 years old. My BMI is 52, I weigh 135.4kg after losing 8 kg in the last 4 weeks. I had a cancerous polyp removed but now have to be operated on to have part of the bowel removed.
What might/would be the risks to me because of my weight while being operated on? I do not have high blood pressure or cholesterol problems.
I now walk 25minutes a day. I have 3 weeks to get as fit as I can in that time. Any suggestions how to get my weight down faster. Any information would be helpful.
