Oral/Soft Palate Cancer???

Hello, I have recently noticed a red pimple like bump next to my Uvula. I can feel that it is there but nothing drastic. For a while it looked like it had a head to it like a pimple but now just seems to be a red raised bump. Does this sound like cancer? I am 2 years old and do smoke moderate to light. Any assistance is appreciated.
