Pain!!!! All she does is feel the pain!!!!

My mother is 59 years old and has been living in PAIN for the last four months.  Here are her symptoms:  Servere pain in the lower stomach (on each side of the navel area), pain in the stomach when she eats and drinks, Her intestines are infected from her stomach to her colon.  She has servere nauseua (she throws up on a daily basis, mainly after she eats), extreme exhaustion, diarrehia and constipation (both, weird, huh?).  She has already ruled out her gall bladder, intestinal diseases and GERDS.  She has a doctors appointment with her OB-GYN tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on what she may ask the doctor about to maybe see/test what is wrong with her.  Thanks for any help any one can supply!!!

Hi Sherry.  My mother is in her late 60's and has been dealing with stomach and bowel pains for the last 10 years.  She has had a colonoscopy done i cant remember how many times, and we have had to take her to emerengcy at least once every other month for her pain.  The doctors could never tell us anything besides that she has acid refulx and irrital bowel syndrome and a couple of times she had infection of the pancreas which also caused her major pain to the stomach.    She has to watch verrrrry carefully her diet cause God forbid if she eats anything spicy, or too saucy, we are in ER the rest of the night with her.  Im not sure if your mom is on the same page with her, but maybe u could ask her docs if they checked for any of thoes symptoms.  I know for sure, that certian foods have set my mother into a howling pain for at least 45 minutes, and then days of diarrehia.  I hope this may have helped u, and I hope ur mom gets better.

She has had a colonoscopy done to her and also CT scans, ultra sounds and a test to test her gallbladder.  She has been to a gastroenterologist and this is the doctor that has performed all of these procedures on her.  However, he has ruled out everything that he can think of and now he has sent her to the OB-GYN to see if it is a female problem.  She has not come home from her appointment as of this time, I will keep everyone informed.  Thanks!!!

Hi.
What examinations were performed previously on your mother?
Her symptoms of abdominal pain, nausea, fatigue, diarrhea and constipation point to a gastrointestinal problem.
I agree with your decision to bring her to a gynecologist for further evaluation.  You may also bring her to a gastroenterologist for check-up.
Good luck.
