Pain in neck lymph node

Pain in neck lymph node

I've had firm lymph nodes in my neck, the ones right there underneath the jaw. I suppose they've fluctuated in size, but I don't really pay attention to that. Today they feel almost uncomfortably firm, and I just had a little jolt of pain go through the one on the right. I had another (a few?) happen this month. It's not really that unpleasant, just a.... surprise.

I guess it helps to say that I'm fourteen and I've had a clicky jaw. You know, like when I open my mouth sort of wide, I get a little click right underneath my earlobes. The click is a bit louder on the right. I don't really remember having a clicking jaw when I was very little (5 ish) but it used to come on and off on the right first until it became regular. It doesn't hurt. Maybe these are related? I'm tempted to ask about that in a board for bone questions...

So what I'm really getting at is that this could be some kind of cancer. Maybe Hodgkins? I've got a conveniently placed physical with a doctor next month. What are the questions I should be asking my doctor??

I'm sorry if this bumps it and it shouldn't have to, but I'd like to add that I've never been diagnosed with cancers or any lymph node infections before, and I'm normally very resilient. For example, I didn't catch that overblown swine flu disease even though my little brother caught it and I had plenty of exposure.
