Pancreaus biopsy/Pheochromocytoma

My wife had a baseball size tumor removed call pheochromocytoma in april of 2007 it was not cancerous.  Since the surgury she has had severe pain on the other side which appeared to be the gall bladder but after many test they said it's not the gall bladder and can not determine the cause of the pain.  They did detect a mass on her pancreaus and have schedule her for a biopsy.  Her Dr. is one of two in the state that will to the procedure by going though her mouth.  Could this be the cause of the pain, her Dr say no relationship.  Is this procedure more or less dangerous than the needle.

Hi.  It is possible for that pancreatic mass to be the cause of the pain your wife's been experiencing.  However, I can't tell you for certain without knowing certain things like the size of the mass, and its location relative to nearby structures in the abdomen.  It may help me answer your question better if you can provide an abdominal CT result or the endoscopic biopsy result that her doctor is going to perform.

Hope to hear from you soon.
