Radiation for reoccurring lipoma
My sister has had a lipoma removed 5 times in the past 20 years, with regrowth to twice in t he last year. The tumor is within the muscle on her buttock near the sciatic nerve. The oncology neurologists suggests radiation. A second opinion suggests caution due to the side effects. My sister is convinced that this regrowth may be hormone linked. Is there any evidence that radiation would work? Is there some evidence of hormone imbalance related regrowth of lipomas? Should she see an endocrinologist?

from what i hear, that's what lipomas do, they grow back.  haven't heard that it's related to hormones.  if a second opinion suggests caution, get a third opinion...
