Radiation induced dementia and Alzheimer's
My friend has cancer and still in chemo treatments.  Tuesday she was diagnosed with radiation induced dementia and Alzheimer's.  My question is can this be reversed?  Her husband is not sure wheither to keep doing treatments.  Her cancer is uncurable.

Well, Alzheimer's CAN'T be reversed; it is progressive.  Radiation and/or chemo induced dementia can improved after treatments.

That will be up to her husband if treatment should continue.  He definitely needs to be discussing this with her physician.

If her cancer is incurable, then all treatments would only be considered palliative and never curative.
