Renal cancer or something else?

About 6 months ago I noticed pain in the left part of my lower back. When palpating the region, I found a hard lump. It feels like bone, but the lump is above my hips and below my ribs.. and it's definitely not my spine. The pain has gotten worse, and the lump seems to be getting bigger. I am starting to notice the pain spread to my left side and abdomen, left of the belly button. It hurts to roll over in bed or do other simple tasks. The lump doesn't move at all. Kidney tests came back normal a couple of months ago, but I go in for an ultrasound of the kidneys soon. Urinating frequently.. about 12 times a day. No pain with urination. Also, I'm sleeping a lot more lately. Despite sleeping for 12 hours at a time, I still need a nap throughout the day. What could it be? I've been online all day and cancer keeps coming up.

Anytime you find a lump, especially if it's growing and painful, it's time to get to the doctor as soon as possible to get it checked out.  Let us know how you are doing!
