Small, hard lump under skin on the side of my neck...HELP!

Today, i was itching my neck and as i was, i came across a bump about the size of a pea. It's under the skin and it moves a little when i touch it. I'm not sure how long it hasbeen there. It doesn't cause me pain, and i believe it hasn't been there long. It's just worrying me because i don't think its normal :(  I would greatly appreciate it if anybody has any suggestions.

Thanks so much!
Savannah

This could be a number of things besides cancer.  Please have it assessed by a physician.  It is probably something benign, such as the above poster has stated.

likely a cyst filled with sebum, usually lanced and drained and cyst sac removed to prevent further filling. Don't freak....make an apt. =)
