Swollen Gland

by SSK1, Apr 03, 2007 12:00AM
I am 23 and I smoke on a semi regular basis, Some times as many as 30 cigarettes a night if I am drinking maybe once a month. On a regular basis I probably smoke less than 6 cigarettes a day with many days where I do not smoke at all. I had my tonsils removed about 2 years ago and ever since I have noticed that my right tonsil is much larger (feel's to be about 3 times the size) than my left. It almost feels as if the doctor removed much more tissue from the left then from the right.

In the past 3 or 4 days I have noticed that the right tonsillar lymph node seems to be swollen and tender to the touch while the left has stayed the same size and is not tender to the touch at all. After reading a few articles and posts on the Internet I am very worried that this could be lymphoma.

I am completely healthy and seem to have no other symptoms but am very concerned about this disproportionate size in my lymph nodes.
