Hi.  For testicular cancer, the primary treatment is surgical removal of the mass along with the involved testicle (the procedure is called inguinal orchiectomy).  After surgery, treatment will depend on what stage the cancer is in (stage refers to  the size and extent of spread of the cancer), and what kind of testicular cancer the patient has (seminomatous or non-seminomatous).  For earlier stages, observation or radiation treatment after the surgery may suffice, but for more advanced stages, chemotherapy needs to be done.  The usual drugs given include Cisplatin, Etoposide and Bleomycin.  Testicular cancer has an excellent prognosis, and treatment is usually curative even in the advanced stages.
