TESTICULAR CANCER

THANX SIR. sir i have pt. the dignosis is --  "Rt. testicle and spermatic cord; non-seminomatous (mixed) germ cell tumor (5.4x4.7x4.3cm),composed of 99% embryonal. carcinoma and 1%seminoma, invasive into rete testis and testicular hilum with multifocal lymphovascular invasion. intartubular germ cell neoplasia.spermatic cord margin of resection free of tumor." how to plan for treatment.. thanx sir

Hi.  When you said that "I have a patient...", I'm assuming you're also a doctor, a primary care physician, perhaps? Planning for this patient's treatment requires the expertise of an oncologist, since treatment would most likely require chemotherapy, and maybe additional surgery or radiotherapy.  It might be best to refer the patient to the nearest cancer center so he may benefit from multidisciplinary care.  You can speed up the treatment process by ordering some blood tests in advance, such as alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), beta-HCG, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).
