Taxotere induced menopause?
has anyone ever heard of this?  I have emailed the manufacturer, but haven't heard back as yet.  My sister states she is having hot flashes/irregular menses while receiving Taxotere.

Hi.
Chemotherapy can bring about many changes in the normal physiology of the body.  Female patients do complain of irregular menses or absence of menses while on chemotherapy.  But these menstrual irregularities usually disappear after chemotherapy.
Any side effects being experienced by the patient should be reported to the treating physician.  Proper evaluation should be done in order to fully understand the cause, and appropriate intervention instituted.
I agree with you in informing the manufacturer of the side effects your sister is experiencing.
Good luck.
